Helloooo Hogwarts!
[Private from Professors]

Good evening everyone, just thought I'd pick up the ol' journal and wish you all a fond hello. It has been a while hasn't it? Well I suppose the only person to blame is our beloved Professor Flitwick. The short man's insane, I can't remember whether or not he gave out this much work before he had me helping or not. I think if he had I would've blocked out all memory of such a traumatizing series of events.

First thing I wanna say now that I've complained about work is this: you kids really need to work on your sneaking. Now I know that I shouldn't be telling you guys this, seeing as that curfew is there for your own protection, but honestly if you're gonna sneak out do it right. I've caught at least five kids since Friday wandering about the castle and it truly pains me to turn you guys in. I can't speak for the other teacher's aids when I say this but please, it's not hard to be hidden in a castle this huge, all I'm asking is to see just a little bit of effort on your parts.

On that note, for those of you that haven't heard yet Harry's started up the DA again. I think we all know just how important it is to be ready in these times and all Gryffindor bias aside, Potter's definitely got the right idea. I missed the first meeting due to extenuating circumstances, but rest assured I'll be there from now on to help with the training. I hope to see as many of you there as I can.

Lastly, lemme just say that I've definitely been seeing a lot of improvement in most of the stuff I've been grading recently. I don't know whether it's the fact that it's utterly frigid outside and you guys don't have anything else to do besides study or if it's something else, but you're all definitely making my job a lot easier. Keep it up!

Alright I guess that concludes your daily message from Mr. Sloper, see ya in class.

Well hello to all my fellow Hogwartsians, just figured I'd wish you all Happy Holidays before letting you go for break. I'm sure there are a few of you scattered here and there that I might've missed at the Ball (which I hope you all had fun at, I know I did) so lemme say that from what I've seen of most of the grades thusfar it'll be quite a happy break for most of you. To those that actually ended up mis-spelling the word "charms" on a few of your essays I say simply this: there's still one term left so there's no need to despair completely. Before you all head off please allow me to be one of the first to wish you all Happy Holidays and a joyous New Year!

An open invite to our most illustrious Alumni
Well yeah, that title pretty much says it all. Cho and I are going absolutely batty over at our flat and we'd like to ask that any of our fellow graduates give us a visit. Mainly, Jon and Adrian, we're fully expecting the both of you on Saturday...shall we say late afternoonish? It's Saturday so we'll have plenty of time to catch up on everything and possibly get sloshed, who knows? I'm afraid no is not an acceptable answer here guys, casual dress. You both should've recieved our address and directions via owl by now so we'll see you...oh my, I guess it's today innit? I should get some sleep...

Well boys and girls it seems like it's been forever and a day since I last wrote my own entry in this bloody thing. Went down and took the Auror exam a few days ago, so I'm still waiting for the results (wish me luck). I must say it's a bit of a surreal experience graduating and heading out into the real wizarding world to get a job (as if the phrase "real wizarding world" wasn't surreal enough?). I'm still moving my stuff in over at Roger and Cho's place, but once I get myself situated there I might actually make it habitable. Anyway, schools about to start up soon and I just wanted to wish all of my old schoolmates luck in this upcoming year.

Thanks for having me over the other night, it really was great. Having your face be the last thing I saw before I fell asleep gave me the most peaceful night's rest I've had since before the Leaving Feast...for about a half hour. I'm sorry to tell you this Cho, but you snore like a lumberjack. It's actually kind of cute in it's own way but I had to charm a sound-proof bubble around my head before I could fall back asleep. I adore you Cho, but for the love of God we've gotta do something about this.

Well, I'm back at home and as per instructions I'm resting. Dear god it's boring as anything back here. Considering how the year ended though, I definitely prefer boredom. Hopefully everyone got back safely to their parents and all that, I know most of you have. When I got back I had about two hours with my Pop before he had to run off, and my mother said goodbye to me via a headset.

The only other person to talk to around here is...her. This addlebrained nurse my father hired to watch over me (he said nurse with a wink, so I'm not even sure I should be calling her that) is about as sharp as a quaffle. She just sort of scurries about the apartment and, on occassion, she messes up the grocery list. I seriously think I could do better hobbling about by myself than having to fix everything that she messes up. To date, she has smashed two vases, a plate, and in a rather impressive display a microwave oven. My attempt at conversation has been, shall we say, fruitless? I'd rather not go into the discussions I've brought up, but I truly believe at this point that she survives by instinct and luck alone. Nice pair of legs though, I will give her that.

I end this entry by saying please, if ever anyone's bored over the summer do drop by. About mid-July I'll be moved to the Bristol apartment but both are in the Floo Network. Trust me, I need the company.

Ugh...make that two plates.

8:20 am
Well, I just woke up to find that I'm in the Hospital Wing, and Pomfrey's fluttering about all of us like a hummingbird on crack. Can't say I blame her, although I think she's starting to get annoyed with my constant marriage proposals. Anyway, can someone tell me what happened after I passed out? I heard Susan and Davies managed to scoop me up and bring me to safety so please, send your kind regards to them, but other than that I've no idea what happened. Oh my god! I didn't sleep through the Quidditch game did I?!

Ugh...so this is what a bludger feels like. Oh and I'm sorry I had to cut our date short Hannah, I can't say this was exactly on my agenda for the evening. I do hope that perhaps at some point I can make it up to you.

Ugh, this day is only slightly past the halfway mark and already I can tell it's gonna be horrifically uneventful. Aside from the grueling classes I have (well all of us have), the only time I get social interaction is at Quidditch practice, and even then most of the time I'm either shouting one word phrases or bashing abour a bludger. Thankfully either we've been getting better or the team's just working together better, 'cause I've never seen practices go this smoothly (either way bravo Weasley). The common room's far too noisy most of the time for a decent conversation, the library's too quiet, where the bloody hell am I supposed to get non-educational intellectual stimualtion?!

On a completely different note everyone, this is an overused device. I can't tell you people how irritated I am at the sight of constant scratch marks in the middle of people's entries. Why bother writing something if you're just gonna take it back in a few seconds anyway? If you write something impetuously just try leaving it. Honestly, regret is for pansies and dead people (No offense meant to either Ms. Parkinson or our venerable and esteemed campus ghosts), and a little spontaneity never hurt anyone. Plus it'll keep all our journals a lot nicer looking.

Well, I'm starting to really enjoy these little books of ours. Not only do they provide an interesting read but...well wait, that's pretty much the only thing I like about them. Quick question to my fellow guys out there at Hogwarts, is it just me or are the girls around here getting prettier? I dunno if it's spring or something but everywhere I look I'm dazed by beauty. Going off on an even further tangeant, this studying is getting to me and I need a night on the town. Hogsmeade anyone?
